Odds 'n Ends January 20, 2012

This is a collection of some of my shots that I really like.
A couple of these have been on my blog or on facebook, but I don't think any of them have been here before.

Folsom Prison
The East Gate of Folsom Prison. And the grassy area on the side. To me, there is a striking difference between the park like area and the enterance to the prison.

The tree's a little taller now.	I've never seen the inside.

Loading Dock
A cattle loading area just south of Folsom. I wanted to take something that could be very old and make it look even older. I think it turned out well.

The Old Tracks
This is a bit further south of Folsom, where the old train tracks run off a bit before turning back up towards Placerville. It's a really picturesque place.

The Railroad Museum
The back side of the Railroad Museum in Historic Folsom. This was after they'd started tearing up the old parking lot, but before the new construction had really begun. I like the colors and the lighting. Now there's a fence around it and a paved parking lot where the dirt is. I like this better.

The American River
This is one of the first pictures I took after getting seriously back into photography. It's from the Truss Bridge near the American River Bridge. Still one of my favorites.

Hanging Lamp
Shot this in Morro Bay. It cried out to be immortalized.

Sutter Street At Night
Long exposure at night in Historic Folsom. I think it came out fantastic. It should have, it takes forever to get a 10 second period where no cars are moving on that street.

The Turntable At Night
Here's another one at night of the train turntable in Historic Folsom. When they're done with the remodeling, I doubt you'll be able to see either of these sites from where I was at the top of the parking garage.
